For sixteen year old Natalie Barefield, big-mountain skiing is a tremendous part of her life. At just three years old she started skiing with her dad, and so began her love for the sport. Natalie has progressed into becoming a junior competitor, and has been competing for two years. At the Snowbird Junior Freeskiing Championships in 2010, she got fourth place (barely missing third) and getting the best overall score on the second day out of all of the girls. As a freeride skier on the Crested Butte Mountain Sports Team, Natalie was awarded Most Valuable and is thankful to have such amazing coaches to help fulfill her goals each season. She is fully committed to giving it her all in order to have a future career in the sport. Natalie plans on competing in even more competitions this year and can’t wait to shred with the Betties!
